A La Carte Ancillaries

01. Pest Evaluation

Our sister company, All South Pest Control, provides comprehensive Pest, Rodent & Termite solutions for the entire Atlanta area. This report will detail any Pest, Rodent and termite issues. A termite letter (Wood-Destroying Organism report) will be issued, if needed, prior to the sale of the house. If any unwanted pests are found, we will also give you information regarding termite treatments and warranties, rodent removal, and pest control for your home. Cost $79

02. Radon Testing

Radon testing is important for a home purchase because radon is a radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer, and it can seep into homes from the soil. Testing can detect the levels of radon in a home, and if the levels are high, mitigation systems can be installed to reduce the risk of exposure. Addressing radon issues before purchasing a home can help ensure a healthy indoor environment and avoid the costs of retrofitting a home with mitigation systems. Cost: $199

03. Mold Testing

Mold testing is important for a home purchase because mold can cause health problems, structural damage, and decrease indoor air quality. Testing can detect the presence of mold and determine the type and severity of the infestation, which can impact the value of the property and the cost of remediation. Addressing mold issues before purchasing a home can help avoid potential health hazards, costly repairs, and legal disputes with sellers. Cost $329

04. Sewer Scoping

Sewer scoping is important for a home purchase because it can reveal potential issues with the waste line that could cause significant problems and expenses down the line. Sewer scoping involves inserting a camera into the waste line to identify any blockages, damage, or other issues that may be present. Addressing these issues before purchasing a home can help avoid costly repairs and potential health hazards, as issues with the waste line can lead to backups, water damage, and contamination. Additionally, discovering problems with the waste line can give homebuyers leverage to negotiate repairs or lower the sale price of the home. Cost: $199

05. Pool Inspection

A pool inspection is important for a home purchase because it can identify any issues or potential hazards with the pool that could impact the safety, functionality, and maintenance costs of the pool. An inspection can determine if the pool meets safety codes, if there are leaks, cracks, or damage to the pool structure, and if the pool equipment and electrical systems are functioning properly. Addressing these issues before purchasing a home can help avoid costly repairs, potential safety hazards, and unexpected expenses. Additionally, discovering problems with the pool can give homebuyers leverage to negotiate repairs or lower the sale price of the home. Cost $149

I was really impressed with the thorough and quality inspection I received from Tracy Wilson, he was professional, answered all of my questions. Make sure you ask for Tracy Wilson he is the best!
Tracy was an excellent home inspector. He was thorough and took the time to walk us through every detail, explaining things clearly and patiently. He was genuinely friendly and easy to work with. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional inspection.
Response from the owner:“Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re glad Tracy was able to take the time to walk you through everything and make the process clear and comfortable. He takes a lot of pride in being thorough and approachable, and we truly appreciate you trusting us with your inspection. Thanks again for the recommendation!”
We had the opportunity to have Blake Hite come and inspect our Oakland City home. While it was new construction, Blake was very helpful in identifying a number of issues like an old sewer lateral line that was partially blocked, a deck that was not up to code, and potential bulk moisture ingress in a foundation that could benefit from sealing.

He also was great to talk to! He was willing to explain his findings and gave insights of things that we should look out for. Thank you Blake and Avalon Home Inspections!
Response from the owner:“Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We’re glad Blake was able to add value to your new construction inspection by identifying those important items and taking the time to walk you through his findings. His goal is always to be thorough, clear, and helpful, and we appreciate you trusting Avalon Home Inspections for both the sewer line scope and new construction inspection. Thanks again for the kind words and support!”
